September 27

Happy birthday to Randy Bachman, guitarist and vocalist for The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, who’s 77.

On this day in 1969, Santana’s self-titled debut album entered the charts. The double-platinum LP contained the top-10 single, “Evil Ways.”

Today in 1986, The Beatles “Twist And Shout” re-entered the U.S. singles charts… twenty-five years after it first appeared. The renewed interest came when it was featured in the film “Ferris Beuller’s Day Off.”
