Happy Birthday to Steve Walsh, founding vocalist for Kansas, who’s 70 today.  

Bob Dylan started recording “Like A Rolling Stone,” on this day in 1965. However, after several attempts as a “waltz” in 3/4 time, they scrapped it. The next day, the now familiar version was recorded easily when he changed the arrangement.  

In 1985, Dire Straits started a nine-week run at No.1 on the US album chart with ‘Brothers in Arms.’
