On this day in 1997, Neil Young had to postpone a European tour while his finger healed. Young injured it while cutting a ham sandwich.
In 1978, Led Zeppelin was back in the studio for the first time since the death of Robert Plant’s son a year before. It was the beginning of the album “In Through the Out Door.”
And the Beatles hit, “Paperback Writer” came out today in 1966. The B-side, “Rain”, was the first of their songs to feature backward vocal tracks.
