Fleetwood Mac’s most famous line-up – Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham – reunited on this day in 1997 to tape an MTV Unplugged special. It was their first full show since the Mirage tour ended in 1982.
In 1979, the Who documentary “The Kids are Alright” debuted in New York City. It featured footage of Keith Moon’s last concert appearance.
And in 1987, Twelve former members of the Doobie Brothers reunited for a charity concert at the Hollywood Bowl. The show raised $350,000 for Vietnam veterans, about two thousand of whom attended the show for free.
