On this day in 1979 Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr played together for the first time since the Beatles broke up. It was at Eric Clapton’s wedding reception, after he married Harrison’s ex-wife, Patti Boyd.
On this day in 1984, Pink Floyd’s classic “Dark Side of the Moon” album celebrated 520 weeks on Billboard’s Top 100 album chart, completing its first ten years on the list.
