Happy Birthday to Bono of U2, who turns 62 today.  

On this day in 1963 The Rolling Stones had their first recording session at Olympic Studios. The band recorded several songs, but only Chuck Berry’s “Come On,” their first single, was released.  

In 1974, Led Zeppelin launched its new record label, Swan Song, with a dinner party at the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles. In true rock and roll fashion, the upscale event quickly devolved into a food fight.
