Born and raised in Gainesville, former Eagles guitarist Don Felder celebrates his birthday today. The co-writer of Hotel California and other classics turns 73 today.  

In 1979, The New York Post reported that The Beatles would reunite in a benefit for the Kampuchean boat people. It wasn’t true—only Paul McCartney was involved in the shows that took place a few months later.  

Today in 1968, Jimi Hendrix scored his only US Top 20 single with his version of Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower.”
