Today in 1982, Billy Joel crashed his motorcycle near his New York home and broke his left thumb. After a month of recovery, Billy was back on piano in the studio.
Happy birthday to Dave Edmunds. The former member of Rockpile and producer of the Stray Cats, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and many others is 77 today.
And on this day in 1996, Jerry Garcia’s friends and family said a last goodbye, when they scattered the rest of his ashes into the water near San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.
