In 1975, The Doobie Brothers scored their first #1 single when “Black Water,” from their album “What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits,” topped the charts.

In 1969, Cream was at the top of the charts in England with their fourth and final album, “Goodbye.” The single, “Badge” was written by best friends Eric Clapton and George Harrison.

And happy Birthday to Phil Lesh, the founding bassist of The Grateful Dead, who’s 81.
