On March 12, 1969, Paul McCartney married Linda Eastman in a small civil ceremony in London. But it was another Beatle who grabbed the most headlines that day…  George Harrison and his wife Patti were arrested at their home and charged with pot possession. George claimed the cops planted it there, and timed the raid to coincide with Paul’s wedding.

And in 1971, The Allman Brothers Band played the first of two nights at the Fillmore East in New York. The shows were recorded for the classic live album, “At Fillmore East,” the band’s breakthrough.
