Happy Birthday to Black Sabbath guitarist and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Tony Iommi, who’s turning 73 today.
Today in 1981, the late George Harrison was found guilty of ‘subconsciously plagiarizing’ the Chiffons’ “He’s So Fine” for his hit, “My Sweet Lord.” He had to pay over half a million dollars to the song’s publishers.
And AC/DC singer Bon Scott died while on tour in London, on this day in 1980 from excessive alcohol consumption. He was just 33 years old.
