February 13
Today was Friday the 13th in 1970, when Black Sabbath released their self titled debut album in their home country.
On this day in 1966, The Rolling Stones played on the Ed Sullivan Show. It was their third time on the program, despite Sullivan’s vow that he’d never book them again after their first appearance.
And Birthday greetings go out today to Peter Gabriel, who turns 71. He’s a two-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as a member of Genesis, and as a solo artist.
