In 1969, Led Zeppelin released their self-titled debut. The album was recorded in about 36 hours of studio time, and went on to sell 8 million copies in the U.S. alone.
Today in 1965, the television show “Hullabaloo” premiered on NBC. The show would give The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, The Animals and many more their first prime time TV exposure.
And on this day in 1992, the Doors, Cream, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Sly & the Family Stone, and Van Morrison were some of the artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
