The Rolling Stones got their drummer today in 1963. Charlie Watts quit Blues Incorporated (and his day job) to be a full-time band member. He’s been in the job ever since.
In 1965, The Beatles set a record on the US album charts when “Beatles ’65” went from #98 to #1 in a single week. That was the biggest jump in the history of the Billboard chart at the time.
