December 24

In 1973, Tom Johnston of the Doobie Brothers was arrested in California for marijuana possession. His court date was set for January 10th, the release date of their next album, titled “What Once Were Vices Are Now Habits.”

On this day in 1968, Led Zeppelin learned some of the drawbacks of fame. They left England one day before Christmas to go to Denver, Colorado to start their first US tour.

And the Beatles earned yet another gold record, this one for the album, “Rubber Soul” on this day in 1965, just two-and-a-half weeks after its release.
