Today in 1976, Peter Frampton spent an afternoon at the White House with President Gerald Ford. Invited by the President’s son, he got the grand tour, then hung out watching TV with the Commander In Chief.  

Also in 1976, Heart’s debut album, “Dreamboat Annie,” went gold. The record, which featured “Magic Man” and “Crazy On You,” would eventually go platinum.  

And The Allman Brothers Band was at #1 on the album charts today in 1973, with their classic, “Brothers And Sisters.”
