  • Fleetwood Mac made their concert debut on August 12, 1967 at Great Britain’s National Blues and Jazz Festival. At the start, they were known as “Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac.” 
  • Today in 1968, The New Yardbirds had their first rehearsal. Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham started with “Train Kept A-Rollin’” and knew they had something special.  
  • And Birthday greetings to 2018 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits. The singer, guitarist and songwriter is 71.
