World Elder Abuse Awareness Day event coming to Ocala June 19

OCALA, FL (352today.com) — Marion Senior Services invites the community to a World Elder Abuse Awareness Day event on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 1 p.m. at One Health, located at 1714 SW 17th St., Ocala.

The event aims to raise awareness and promote a better understanding of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation. State Attorney Bill Gladson of the Fifth Judicial Circuit will deliver the keynote address. Additional presentations will feature representatives from local law enforcement, Seniors vs. Crime, and SHINE/SMP.
