MARION COUNTY, FL. (352 Today)–The Marion County Office of the County Engineer, in coordination with its contractor, will begin pavement preservation work along SW 60th Ave beginning Monday, Aug. 18, with completion expected by Monday, Sept. 8, weather permitting.
The project area extends along SW 60th Ave at intersecting SW 73rd St Rd . Crews and equipment will be on site between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.Temporary single lane closures will be in place throughout the corridor to allow for safe and efficient operations.
The purpose of this project is to apply a Roadway Improvement designed to extend the life of the existing roadway surface and maintain road quality for residents and travelers.
Crews will place barricades and signs directing traffic through the work zone. Travelers should expect delays and use alternate routes, when possible. Adverse weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances may affect schedules.
