A single lane of the SW 66th Street bridge has been opened to serve both directions of traffic over the bridge. Crews are currently flagging traffic across the bridge and FDOT plans to implement portable traffic signals in order to manage the traffic.

“We’re flagging traffic across the bridge right now and put portable traffic signals out there to manage the traffic,” said Tim Freed, FDOT public information officer.

The far-left lane of northbound I-75 just before the SW 66th Street bridge is now open. Crews are actively inspecting and addressing the damage to the SW 66th Street bridge.

Motorists are advised that all lanes along northbound I-75 are closed at County Road 484 in Marion County due to a bridge hit at the SW 66th Street Bridge.
The following detour is active until further notice:
Motorists heading northbound on I-75 will be directed to merge off the interstate at Exit 341 (County Road (C.R.) 484), head eastbound on C.R. 484, and head north along U.S. 301 before reaching where U.S. 301 and U.S. 441 meet. Motorists wishing to return to I-75 should stay on U.S. 301/U.S. 441 until reaching State Road 40 in Ocala, where they can head west to return to I-75.
Increased traffic should be expected on U.S. 301, U.S. 441 and I-475.
The NW 66th Street bridge over I-75 is also closed to traffic until further notice.
PREVIOUS: Interstate 75 northbound is closed and traffic is being diverted at Highway 484 due to the overpass at Southwest 6th Street being struck by a large truck. Southwest 6th Street is also closed at the overpass. Please find alternate routes and expect increased traffic along Highway 441, Highway 301, and Highway 474 through Marion County.
