Tavares Annual BOO! Fest is Back for Festive Fun

TAVARES, FL (352today.com) – The City of Tavares is getting into the spirit of fall by hosting the annual BOO! Fest on Friday, Oct. 25 from 6-9 p.m. in Downtown Tavares and Wooton Park at 100 E Ruby St. The municipality invites everyone to this free, family-friendly Halloween celebration with games and activities for all ages to enjoy.

The event will feature trunk-or-treating along Main and Ruby streets as well as the Creepy Tent–sponsored by the YMCA–where kids can get bags full of candy and a spooky experience for Halloween fun, along with a costume contest in Wooton Park at 7 p.m.

There will also be a screening of “Scooby Doo’s Spookiest Tales” at 6 p.m. in the park, a Soar Athletics Performance Team exhibition and carnival games for all to partake. Win prizes or relax for a night of themed fun to get in the fall mood. The evening will be set with music by a live DJ and food vendors scattered around to enjoy the festivities with handcrafted goods.

The area will feature themed decorations to get guests into the Halloween spirit, so dress up and bring family and friends for a night of games, activities and fall fun. Admission to the event is free, contact City of Tavares Recreation Department at 352-742-6477 for questions.
