Strong thunderstorm with 40 mph winds moves through Ocala and southeast Marion County

MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A strong thunderstorm is moving through southeastern Marion County this evening, bringing wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour.

As of 5:18 p.m., the National Weather Service says the storm was over Ocala and moving southeast at about 15 mph. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around loose outdoor items.

  • Silver Springs Shores
  • Weirsdale
  • Lake Weir
  • Lynne
  • Santos
  • Ocklawaha
  • Moss Bluff
  • The Village of Briar Meadow

What to do: If you’re outside, head indoors until the storm passes.
