OCALA, FL (352today.com) – According to a post on social media by the Ocala Police Department, SE 17th Street has reopened fully to traffic after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle around noon on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025.
The collision occurred on the 900 block of SE 17th Street, just east of the SE Lake Weir Avenue intersection. The pedestrian, reportedly a woman of unknown age, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The accident and ensuing investigation disrupted traffic along the busy thoroughfare on Tuesday afternoon, but traffic is reportedly back to normal.
