OCALA, FL (352Today.com) – Halloween is riding into Ocala the old-fashioned way: on horseback, with riders in costumes and candy down the sideline. Ocala Polo’s Poloween match is set for Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, at the Florida Horse Park, with gates opening at 4 p.m. and the throw-in at 5 p.m. The night includes Tailgate & Treat, costume contests, players in costume, and a Brooke USA mini-horse meet-and-greet.
Brooke USA is the night’s special guest, mini horses in tow. The nonprofit raises money for working horses, donkeys, and mules, and for the families who count on them to haul water, goods, and crops. Vet care, farrier work, and training are the point. Ocala already knows the name from Divertimentos & Dressage, the group’s winter fundraiser in the Horse Capital. On Oct. 31, the ask is simpler: Meet the minis, then watch the match.
Ticket tiers are already posted here. A VIP tent tailgate is a 10-by-10 tent in a prime center-field spot, admission for eight, and one car parked behind the tent. Turnkey VIP tents add a table and chairs. Reserved tailgate spaces cover one carload and do not include a tent. Outside tents are not allowed, for the safety of the ponies. General admission is the southwest corner of the sideline, no seating and no tent, with parking a short walk away. Larger groups can take the Centerfield Paddock, two 25-by-50-foot sections beside the announcer’s booth, with tents and chairs for up to 25, or both halves for a party of 25 to 50.
Online sales stop at 7 a.m. on game day. Reserved tailgates and general admission can still be bought at the gate. If the weather turns wicked, cancellations go out by email and Facebook, and tickets can be moved to another date this season.
Come for the candy. Stay for the chukkers. Just leave the tent at home unless Ocala Polo set it up for you.
