LAKELAND, FL (352today.com) — Paris Richardson, the reigning Miss Gainesville, made history Saturday night when she was crowned Miss Florida 2025, becoming only the second titleholder from Gainesville to win the coveted crown — and the first since 1952.

A Jacksonville native and recent University of Florida graduate, Richardson stood out throughout the competition held at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland. She impressed judges with her acrobatic talent performance and community health initiative, “CROWN of Health,” which she plans to expand statewide. Along with the crown, she earned a $20,000 scholarship and will represent Florida at the Miss America competition this September.

Ocala was also well represented. Caroline Schapansky, Miss Ocala, earned a spot as one of 16 statewide finalists.
