Ocala police need your help identifying suspects in Publix wallet theft

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Ocala Police Department (OPD) is asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals suspected of stealing a wallet from a woman’s purse at Publix on June 15.

According to investigators, the suspects used a distraction to take the wallet, then quickly used the victim’s debit and credit cards to make purchases at a nearby Walgreens. Before entering Walgreens, the female suspect changed her appearance by putting on a different jacket and hat.

Anyone with information about the suspects’ identities is urged to contact Detective C. Boyer at 352-369-7000. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Marion County by calling 352-368-STOP (7867), dialing **TIPS, or visiting OcalaCrimeStoppers.com.
