Ocala Fire Rescue Extracts Trapped Passenger from Single-Vehicle Collision (PHOTOS)

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Ocala Fire Rescue extricated a trapped passenger in the wake of an early morning single-vehicle collision on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

According to a statement, OFR responded to a serious accident involving a pickup truck and a tree along SW 51st Terrace and SW 38th Street at approximately 4:45 a.m. Saturday morning.

Rescue 4 found a white pickup wedged between a tree and a fence line, with one of the occupants trapped inside the vehicle. The responders requested additional resources, and crews used hydraulic cutters and spreaders to remove the top of the pickup’s cab and lift the dashboard to free the passenger.

Both the driver and passenger were transported the hospital–the driver for further evaluation and the passenger as a trauma alert.

OFR received assistance from Marion County Fire Rescue as well the Florida Highway Patrol, which also responded to the scene.
