OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Ocala Police Department (OPD) is inviting the community to come together for this year’s National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, at the E.D. Croskey Recreation Center from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

This free, family-friendly event offers residents the chance to connect with OPD officers and neighbors while enjoying an evening packed with activities.
Attendees can look forward to:

What is National Night Out?
National Night Out is part of a nationwide initiative designed to:
- Promote crime and drug prevention awareness
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit
- Generate support for local anti-crime programs
- Foster partnerships between police and the community
- Send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and proactive
