UPDATE: Motorist Advisory: Multiple Crashes on I-75 Send Seven People to Area Hospitals

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Multiple vehicle collisions have caused temporary closures on I-75.

UPDATE: Sept. 26, 2025, 7:17 p.m., a spate of traffic accidents resulted in seven people being transported to local hospitals. One pile-up involved 20 vehicles that occurred north of Mile Marker 354, according to Ocala Fire and Rescue.

The agencies that responded to the crashes included Ocala Fire Rescue, Marion County Fire Rescue, the Florida Highway Patrol, the Road Rangers, and several towing companies.
As of 5:50 p.m., traffic remains severely impacted, with multiple lane closures still in effect along I-75 in Ocala.

UPDATE: Sept. 26, 2025, 4:05 p.m. Motorists are advised that all southbound lanes of I-75 are closed south of exit 358 in the Ocala area due to multiple crashes. Drivers are advised to avoid this area and seek alternate routes. The following detour has been put in place:

Motorists on southbound I-75 wishing to continue southbound will be directed to take exit 358 onto State Road  326, turn left onto eastbound S.R. 326, turn right onto southbound U.S. 441/301, and turn right onto westbound S.R. 40 to return to I-75.
