OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Around the Marion County Animal Services (MCAS) offices, Little Debbie has earned the title of unofficial shelter office assistant – but she’s ready to retire from that role. This lovably goofy girl is on the lookout for a full-time position as your loyal companion.
Little Debbie arrived at MCAS in January of 2025. At 9 years old, she’s described by staff as “delightfully rotund,” with a personality to match. Don’t let her age or figure fool you – she’s still got plenty of pep in her step, with zoomies that are best followed by belly rubs and long couch naps.
Because the kennel environment stresses her out, Little Debbie is currently living in the shelter’s office. She coexists peacefully with other dogs but isn’t particularly interested in playing with them. She’d much rather spend her time soaking up love from her people.

Her personality is as sweet as her name, and MCAS staff encourage anyone interested to stop by and spend some time with her (or any of their adoptable animals) to get a true sense of her unique charms.
Ready to meet your new best friend? You can visit MCAS from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday to get to know her. Little Debbie might just be the sweet addition your home’s been missing.
