Marion County Utilities issued a boiling water notice for five addresses in Marion Oaks

OCALA, FL (352today) – Marion County Utilities has followed up on their precautionary boiling water notice and issued a notice in Marion Oaks. The notice was put into effect for Tuesday, August 5 at 8 a.m. and will continue to be in effect until 4 p.m. The notice was issued for work on a water meter tie in that has been advised will affect and disrupt the water service for five addresses. 

The SW 60th Court Road addresses that the notice will affect are 13353, 13361, 13374, 13380 and 13404 and have been advised that all residents at these addresses must heat their water at a rapid boil for one minute before consumption or utilize bottled water as an alternative until the water has been tested. The notice includes all consumable water including drinking, cooking and brushing teeth until further notice. 

The notice is currently in effect and will continue to be until further information is provided by Marion County Utilities. The affected Marion Oaks residents’ water will be tested by Marion County Utilities, who will then advise and notify residents when the boiling water notice is lifted.
