OCALA FL. (352 Today) – Marion County Public Schools’ Food and Nutrition Department is growing its Afterschool Meals Program, part of the Child Care Food Program, to reach even more students this school year.
Two new schools — Ross Prairie Elementary and Winding Oaks Elementary — have joined the 37 existing sites, bringing the total to 39 locations providing free, nutritious meals to children enrolled in Marion Afterschool Programs.
All meals are offered at no cost to students, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
Free breakfast and lunch provided to all students in 56 school locations
