Marion County Children’s Alliance hiring male mentor for local youth

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Marion County Children’s Alliance is now hiring a part-time male mentor to work with local youth between the ages of 10 and 17. The program aims to support young men in developing life skills, emotional strength and confidence through structured mentorship during school hours.

The position pays $25 per hour for 20 hours each week. The mentor will be assigned to designated school sites throughout Marion County and will work directly with students in one-on-one and small group settings.

The mentorship program uses a proven Life Skills Curriculum to help students learn to set goals, manage emotions, communicate clearly and make good decisions. The mentor is expected to serve as a positive role model and help youth build respect, responsibility and accountability.

Applicants must be male, age 18 or older and have at least a high school diploma or GED. They should also have a minimum of four years of experience working with youth. Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a level 2 background screening are required. Training sessions are mandatory, and the mentor must follow the provided curriculum.
