MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) — Detectives seek help identifying fraud suspect tied to vehicle burglary, $4K in purchases
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man connected to a vehicle burglary and credit card fraud totaling over $4,000.
Deputies responded to a reported vehicle burglary on May 2, 2025, at Silver Springs State Park. Later that same day, the victim’s stolen credit cards were used at Best Buy on SW 27th Avenue in Ocala. Surveillance footage shows the suspect purchasing multiple Apple electronics, including a MacBook Pro 14, iPad 13 Pro, Apple Pencil Pro, and Magic Keyboard—totaling $4,274.21.
Property Crimes detectives obtained store surveillance footage and are working to identify the individual involved.
