SUWANNEE COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A Florahome man is dead, and a Fort White teen was reported seriously injured in a two-vehicle wreck east of Branford.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says the crash happened on U.S. Highway 27, a half mile east of 29th Road in Suwannee County around 9:24 a.m. on Wednesday.
FHP says a 19-year-old woman was driving a silver sedan, traveling westbound on Highway 27. A green SUV was traveling eastbound on that same roadway.
They say the two vehicles crashed head-on.
The 40-year-old man driving the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The young woman was transported to UF Health Shands in Gainesville, last reported in serious condition.
