OCALA, FL (352today.com) – It’s an environment where countless lives are saved, where critical care has a profound impact on the community and the spirit of generosity has an overwhelming presence.
A check presentation at HCA Florida West Marion Hospital on Aug. 26, 2025, to a nonprofit with a longstanding history of helping those in need within the community, made a powerful statement, one that will resonate with an organization whose initiatives are helping families achieve financial stability.
HCA Heathcare Foundation’s Healthier Tomorrow’s Fund likes to give back to nonprofits across the nation, said Alan Keesee, HCA Florida Ocala Hospital chief executive officer.
“But through a grant application process, the United Way was selected here in Marion County to receive $25,000,” said Keesee. “We’re very excited to support the United Way.”
However, it’s the spirit of cooperation between entities within the community that make it possible, so its citizens can enjoy the best quality of life in Marion County.
“First of All, I’d like to thank HCA, not only for this gift but for your advocacy and volunteerism,” said Bob Haight, United Way of Marion County CEO. “Part of this funding will be used toward our Strong Families Program. It will help us address the other local needs of our residents,”
