Gear up for 75 Chrome Shop’s 26th annual Big Rig Truck Show

WILDWOOD, FL (352today.com) – Truck enthusiasts from all over North America are eyeing one destination at the end of April: 75 Chrome Shop in Wildwood. Truckers and spectators alike have been the driving force behind one of the biggest truck shows in the country, the 75 Chrome Shop Big Rig Truck Show presented by Dynaflex Products.

For 26 years, this family-owned and operated truck stop has been bringing in the best and the biggest rigs for its annual truck show. Truckers from all over say they come to 75 Chrome Shop because of the value they place on quality. They offer a wide range of top-notch products from the leading brands. Owners say every component that comes out of their shop goes through rigorous checks to ensure it meets the industry’s best standards.

Manager Kerri Farkus says that 75 Chrome Shop in Wildwood has been a leader in the trucking and transportation industry for more than 35 years. This establishment is known for providing quality products and exceptional services because of the highest standards set by the Farkus Family.

In this fast-evolving industry, 75 Chrome Shop’s Big Rig Truck Show is an opportunity to get updated on the latest trends and to learn about advancements in truck technology, accessories, lighting, detailing and more.

One of Farkus’ favorite aspects of the truck show is seeing friends and customers who don’t live in Florida or get to visit much. “This event brings people from all around the United States and even some from other countries,” she said.

The event kicks off on Thursday, April 25, with contestant parking taking place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration filled up quickly this year and is now closed. Contestants receive a full goodie bucket and are eligible to be chosen for the annual 75 Chrome Shop Calendar and a chance to be on one of many billboards.

Many walk-in customers will win gift cards or one of the $25,000 in door prizes awarded throughout the weekend.

“This day is crazy and chaotic for us while parking and getting set up,” Farkus said, adding that the best days for spectators are Friday and Saturday.

Friday, April 26, begins with food, vendors, and trucks on display and doesn’t slow down. There will be a DJ and a Friday Night Light Show open to the public beginning at dusk.

Saturday, April 27, will be packed full of fun, food, and entertainment from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Participating truckers will be eyeing the “Prime Shine” trophy and spectators are encouraged to vote in the People’s Choice Award.

“Count on being speechless and amazed at the beautiful trucks and ideas that these competitors come up with,” said Farkus. “It’s like a chrome candy shop for adults.”

Farkus says seeing everything come together and the amazement on adults’ and children’s faces makes the hard work worth it.

The 75 Chrome Shop Big Rig Truck Show is an excellent way to meet industry professionals, truck accessory vendors, and businesses from all over the United States.

The final day of the event starts with public entry on Sunday, April 28, at 8 a.m. and culminates with an award ceremony in the afternoon where contestants from all over the U.S. and Canada will be recognized. Most trucks begin rolling out around 2 p.m.

From spectacular trucks to the awards ceremony, this free event has something for everyone. The 26th Annual 75 Chrome Shop Big Rig Truck Show presented by Dynaflex Products takes place Friday, April 26, through Sunday, April 28, at I-75 (exit 329) and SR 44 in Wildwood.
