OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Although Florida drivers saw gas prices bounce up and down over the past week, the overall trend remains one of steady pricing, according to AAA – The Auto Club Group.

  • The state average fell by 8 cents early in the week
  • Prices then rose by 13 cents midweek
  • A 3-cent dip followed over the weekend

As of Sunday, the state average was $3.10 per gallon; 2 cents more than the previous week, 10 cents more than a month ago, but still 31 cents lower than this time in 2024.

Long-term outlook: A consistent pattern

Gas prices have hovered within a 31-cent range since last September, staying between $2.92 and $3.23 per gallon. This mirrors a broader trend in the oil market, which has remained stable over the last five weeks.

“While gas prices may shift from week to week, overall they tend to follow a relatively steady pattern,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “As long as oil prices remain stable, drivers can expect pump prices to stay within their current range.”
