OCALA, FL (352today.com) – With the start of the 2025-26 academic year approaching, the Florida Department of Health in Marion County is offering expanded back-to-school immunization services at both fixed and mobile locations throughout the county.

The initiative provides free vaccinations to children ages 4 through 18, helping families meet Florida’s school immunization requirements. Services are offered at the department’s main Ocala clinic and through its Mobile Health Unit, which is traveling to several neighborhoods including Belleview, Silver Springs Shores and Dunnellon. Other locations for upcoming or recent mobile clinics include the Silver Springs Shores Community Center, Dunnellon Public Library and the E.D. Croskey Recreation Center in Ocala.

The main fixed-site clinic is located at 1801 SE 32nd Avenue in Ocala. It will hold a large-scale immunization event on Friday, August 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with no appointment required. Additional walk-in hours are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours until 7 p.m. on select dates including August 6 and 8.

Parents are encouraged to bring government-issued photo ID and their child’s immunization or travel records when attending a clinic.
