OCALA FL. (352today.com) – The Alzheimer’s Association invites the public to a special pep rally, Catch the Purple Wave, Together We Walk for a Cure! for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s® Ocala. Attendees are encouraged to wear purple. This event will offer attendees a preview of this year’s Walk, an opportunity to learn how to get involved, and the chance to connect with others in the fight to end Alzheimer’s.

WHERE: Midtown Station, 235 NE Watula Ave., in Ocala
WHY: The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, including over 580,000 Floridians. Events like this help fund vital resources and research for families affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s Ocala will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, at Tuscawilla Park, 829 NE Sanchez Ave., in Ocala. The event is dog friendly.
On Walk day, participants will take part in the moving Promise Garden Ceremony, where colorful flowers symbolize the personal reasons we walk — for a loved one, as a caregiver, as a supporter, or in memory.
