BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – The City of Belleview announced that its annual, ever-growing Trunk or Treat family Halloween event will be getting even bigger this year, and moving from Lake Lillian to the Belleview Sports Complex.
A yearly tradition for families in the area, Belleview’s Trunk or Treat has grown each year since its inception, thanks in no small part to the contributions of the events sponsors.
“Gary Yeomans Ford Ocala/Villages has played an important role in helping us continue to grow Trunk or Treat and provide an event that families can enjoy together,” said Belleview Community Engagement Liaison Robert Vass in a statement. “Community events of this size are only possible when businesses and organizations are willing to invest in the community they serve. Gary Yeomans Ford Ocala/Villages has continued to demonstrate that commitment, and we are extremely grateful for their support. We also appreciate every business, organization, volunteer and community partner that contributes their time and resources to making this event possible.”
This year’s event, to be held Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 4 until 7 p.m., will feature a haunted maze and expanded haunted hayride in addition to other attractions, including food trucks, foam pumpkin decorating and a DJ, as well as providing more space for local businesses and organizations to be present, represent themselves and interact with their community.
The event’s focus, though, will remain providing a safe and family-friendly environment in which kids can dress up and get that candy.
“While the location will be new, the centerpiece of the evening will remain the community trunk or treat experience,” read the city’s announcement. “Participating businesses, organizations and community groups will decorate vehicles and distribute candy to children as families make their way through the event. The additional space at the Sports Complex will allow organizers to create a larger and more comfortable trunk or treat area while accommodating continued interest from organizations that want to participate.”
Some stuff will be free, some stuff will cost a bit (like food and rides), but everything will be a fun and exciting expansion of the Belleview Halloween experience.
