MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Back to School Community Giveback is returning on Saturday, July 26, 2025, with the goal of serving thousands of students and families across Marion County. Hosted in partnership with the Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County, AdventHealth Ocala, Marion County Public Schools, The Rock Program, Stuff the Bus, Heart of Florida Health Center, College of Central Florida, Marion County Children’s Alliance and numerous local organizations, this annual event ensures children begin the school year equipped with the tools they need to succeed.

The main distribution will take place at the College of Central Florida Klein Center with a large secondary location at Heart of Florida Health Center on Silver Springs Blvd, and several satellite locations positioned throughout the county to increase accessibility for families in Belleview, Dunnellon, Silver Springs Shores, and other areas.

We are so appreciative of our presenting partners that help make this community wide giveback possible for thousands of families each year. A huge thank you to The Adam Hanson Better Communities Fund, Panzer Medicine, Ausley Construction, The Boyd Group, Next Generation Realty, Gill Logistics, Team Cone, and many other local companies that play such a vital role assisting families in starting the school year off with their essential needs.

This year’s event will provide more than 6,000 backpacks filled with age-appropriate school supplies, along with access to additional community resources. Families can register starting July 1 through the event’s Eventbrite page to reserve their spot at a preferred location. In addition to providing supplies, the event brings together nonprofits and service providers offering vital resources for health, education, and family support.

Volunteers are needed at each location to help distribute supplies, welcome families, and ensure a smooth experience for all attendees. With hundreds of volunteers required across all locations, community members are encouraged to sign up early to assist with the giveback. A virtual orientation will be held on Monday, July 21 to prepare volunteers for their roles. Local businesses and organizations are also invited to support the event through sponsorships or in-kind donations of supplies.

Since its inception in 2019, the Back to School Community Giveback has grown significantly, now serving more than 6,000 students annually. The event is a true testament to what can be accomplished through collaboration, compassion, and community spirit. The Community Foundation and its partners are calling on the community once again to help make this event a success and ensure every child starts the school year with confidence.
