Alachua County Students Injured in Early-Morning Collision Involving School Bus

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Four students and the driver of a commercial vehicle were taken to UF Health Gainesville in the wake of a collision involving a school bus on the morning of Monday, March 9, 2026.

According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, an Alachua County school bus was stopped on northbound U.S. HWY 301 at around 7 a.m., picking up students, when a commercial vehicle failed to stop and struck the rear of the bus with its passenger side.

The driver of the commercial vehicle subsequently lost control of the vehicle, which overturned.

Four passengers on the school bus and the driver of the commercial vehicle were transported to UF Health Gainesville with injuries the report classified as “minor.”

The investigation into the crash is pending.
