Alachua County Emergency Managment shares map of downed trees, power lines

ACEM has created a map of the reported downed trees and power lines in Alachua County. The icons may show several trees or lines in a general area, not specific spots. As response teams check the roads, ACEM says they may find more downed trees, lines, and other dangers.

As of 6 a.m., ACEM reports over 82,000 homes in Alachua County are without power, not including Newberry.

ACEM asks that you please avoid driving unless it is necessary. They say they are actively collaborating with local utility teams to restore power and ask that f you see any downed power lines or trees, to call or text 911 to report them.
