SUMMERFIELD, FL. (352 Today) — A 76-year-old woman from Summerfield was killed in a crash involving a golf cart on August 27, 2025.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 3:20 p.m. at a home located at 14811 SE 52nd Court. Troopers said a golf cart was traveling south through the backyard of the property when it struck the woman, who was standing on the east side of a fence at the south end of the yard.
The crash remains under investigation by FHP. Crash Investigator Anthony Ely and Homicide Investigator Brett Detweiler responded to the scene.
