My Favorite Things

The opening of My Favorite Things happened Monday, Feb. 1, at the Barbara Gaskin Washington Adult Activity Center, located at 210 NW 12 Ave. The exhibit will be on display through Monday, March 15, Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm. This exhibit is free and open to the public.  Due to COVID-19 precautionary measures there will be no opening reception.

The City of Ocala Municipal Government’s Art in City Spaces program provides the opportunity for artists and art organizations to exhibit their work in a public city space. The My Favorite Things exhibit showcases artwork created by the families and relatives of City of Ocala employees, illustrating an array of their favorite things.

This exhibit marks the opening of the Barbara Gaskin Washington Adult Activity Center as a new public space for art exhibition within the City of Ocala’s Art in City Spaces program. The newly added exhibit space is dedicated to showing artwork created by students, as well as artwork created by artists who work closely with students.
