Ocala Civic Theatre’s C.A.S.T. (Creative Arts Student Troupe) presented their production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the end of June. Originally scheduled for performances at Fort King National Historic Landmark and Visitor Center in April, the production moved to ZOOM! rehearsals in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In early June, the actors returned to OCT’s brand-new outdoor space, where the play was re-staged by Director of Education Terry leCompte to accommodate social distancing and other CDC guidelines for health and safety.
Tickets were free, though space was limited to accommodate safe-seating. Donations were gladly accepted. If you’d like to partner with OCT in helping the Ocala Civic Theatre —Education & Enrichment department to continue to provide exceptional opportunities for creativity virtually and in-person, please consider donating here at ocalacivictheatre.com/donate.
