Is it okay to name your baby after your pet?

There’s a debate going on online right now about whether it’s cool to name your baby after your PET.

 

A pregnant woman shared her story on the British website Mumsnet about how she and her husband have been brainstorming names for their baby, and one that her husband keeps pushing is the same name they gave to their CAT.

Some people think it’s fine to give your kid the same name as a pet . . . but most of them think it’s a bad call.

 

By the way, the cat we’re talking about here is named Mungo.  But don’t let the awful name cloud your thoughts on this debate . . . some people’s pets might have decent names that could also work for a baby.

Also, some of the other names this couple is considering are Ivo, Jonty, and Jago.  Again, don’t let those names cloud your thoughts on the debate either.  This particular couple just isn’t good at names.
