More than 30% of people would rather not know someone’s name than admit they forgot

You know that moment when someone introduces themselves to you, and three seconds later you realize you forgot their name?

A lot of people would rather keep it that way FOREVER than ask them for their name again. According to a new survey, more than one-third of people say they’d rather not ever know someone’s name than admit they forgot it or ask for it again.

The survey also found 35% of people say they won’t ask someone to repeat instructions . . . and 23% say they’re, quote, “too respectful” to ask someone to do them a favor.
