He posted video of the storm surge on Wednesday morning, averaging about 6 feet high.

Here’s another video from Chris Cann, a reporter for USA Today. He talked to resident and local clam fisherman, Michael Bobbitt, about the conditions to which Michael responded, “it’s a near apocalyptic scene.”
Michael Bobbitt, a local property appraiser and clam fisherman who decided to stay on Cedar Key to help rescue people who've refused to leave, said just after 6 a.m., "it's a near apocalyptic scene here."
